Sevinge Alakbarzadeh Tofiq
Teaching English at Azerbaijan State University of Languages, Baku State University since 2001, and The Western University since 2004. Taught in the faculties of Journalism, Law, Philology, Chemistry, Translation. Presently teaching in the faculty as follows: International relations, American studies. For the first time in Azerbaijan she presents and teaches American folklore for the faculty of American studies. The subjects she’s been teaching are: English language, Lexicology, Methods of Foreign Language Teaching.

The Supreme Attestation Commission Attached to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the decision dated January 22,2008 (Minutes # 04-k) conferred on me the academic degree of PhD. She is the author of my first research book “Modality in the languages of different systems“ published in may,2008, and now I’m working at the book “Intensive English for diplomats” as a co-author.

The Branch for the Study of the United States invited candidate nominations for the Summer FY-07 Study of the United States Institutes. The Institute on American Civilization, Study of the United States Institutes are intensive post-graduate level academic programs provided a group of 18 people from different countries with a deeper understanding of U.S. society, culture, values and institutions. So I was the first and the only Azerbaijani who won this programm as a Fullbright Schollar, took an active part in discussions panel discussions, We were educated at New York University, Multinational Institute of American Studies, visited Boston,-Harvard University, New Mexico, Washington D.C., White House, Capitol building meeting with congressmen. As Azerbaijani I did my best to represent Azerbaijan at high level, as we are. In a word, İ was greatly impressed.
