SCHOOL OF
WESTERN LANGUAGES
The
School of Western Languages was established in order to train
professional philologists, specialists in foreign languages and
literature, particularly important for Azerbaijan in the current period
of broad international ties, professional translators for the field of
business, management, political science, sociology, law, journalism and
publishing.
The
School offers facilities for the linguistic and philological study of
European languages. The school uses modern educational programs and
technical aids in the preparation of professional linguists, and
maintains broad language ties with embassies and representatives of
European states. Connection with many higher educational institutions in
foreign countries has provided support for development of the faculty,
and highly qualified teachers and scholars are invited from abroad (the
U.S., Britain, France, Australia, Germany and Holland).
The
School's official languages are: German, English, Spanish, French,
Russian, and Azerbaijani.
